The theme for 2026 is Lived Experiences Heard: Real Voices, Real Change. It’s about moving beyond simply listening to people’s stories and actually taking action to make things better. Mental illness isn’t always something people can see on the surface. Sometimes the people who look the strongest are fighting battles nobody knows about.

If you’re struggling with your mental health today, I want you to know that YOU ARE NOT BROKEN BEYOND REPAIR, YOU ARE NOT A LOST CAUSE, AND YOUR STORY IS NOT OVER.

Your struggle is real. But so is the possibility of hope, healing, and a life beyond what you’re experiencing right now. 💚

💚 Today is World Mental Health Day. 💚

You can’t always see someone’s mental health struggles on the surface. Sometimes the people who look the strongest are fighting battles no one knows about. Sometimes a smile is covering up pain that someone doesn’t know how to put into words.

Be kind to your mind, and be kind to others. We never truly know what someone is going through unless they feel safe enough to share it. A little compassion, a little grace, and a little less judgment can make a bigger difference than we realize.

That’s one of the things I love about Celebrate Recovery. It’s a place where you can show up just as you are, with your hurts, habits, and hang-ups, and find a community where you don’t have to pretend you have it all together. Through anonymity and confidentiality, we strive to create a safe place where people can be honest about their struggles, find hope in Jesus, and walk the road to recovery together.

You don’t have to carry it all alone. You don’t have to have it all figured out. And you don’t have to look like you’re struggling for your struggle to be real.

Let’s be the kind of people who lead with love, extend grace, and remind others that they are not alone. You never know how much someone might need it. 🫶

💜September is National Recovery Month and today marks the end where we celebrate International Recovery Day! 💜

Recovery is for everyone and it isn’t just about what someone stopped doing. It’s about what they started becoming.

✨ A person who found hope.
✨ A family that began healing.
✨ A life that was once broken being rebuilt.
✨ A person who thought they were too far gone discovering they weren’t.
✨ A heart that was hurting learning it could heal.
✨ A life surrendered to Jesus becoming something beautiful.

Recovery is for all of life’s hurts, habits & hang-ups—because we all have something we need Jesus to heal.

And today we celebrate every person who has said:

“I’m willing to do the work.”
“I’m choosing recovery.”
“I’m choosing Jesus.”

To those still struggling: DON’T GIVE UP.
To those walking in recovery: KEEP GOING.
To those who have been there for someone else: THANK YOU.
And to everyone who thought their story was over…

Tonight at Joshua’s Crossing Celebrate Recovery, we have a testimony you won’t want to miss! Come join us from 6–9 PM as we share a meal, worship together, hear an incredible story of God’s faithfulness, and remind ourselves that we do recover!

Then tomorrow, we’re heading to Forest Park in Denison for the 4th Annual United Recovery in the Park! 🎉

Come out and celebrate recovery with our community as we support Grand Central Station! There’s something powerful about coming together to show people that recovery is possible, families can be restored, and no one has to walk this road alone. 🙏🏽❤️

AMENDS: When Change Speaks Louder Than Words

What does it really mean to make amends?

Amends aren’t simply saying, “I’m sorry.” They’re about changed behavior—allowing the transformation God is doing in us to speak through the way we live.

Sometimes making a direct amend is possible. Sometimes it isn’t wise, safe, or even possible. That’s where living amends come in: choosing to live differently, breaking old patterns, and becoming the person God is calling us to be.

This week at Celebrate Recovery, we’ll dive into Amends and what Steps 8 & 9 look like in real life.

Come learn how making amends can bring freedom from guilt, shame, and the patterns that have kept us stuck. You don’t have to stay who you’ve always been.

Celebrate Recovery is MORE than drugs & alcohol. ❤️‍🩹

One of the biggest misconceptions about Celebrate Recovery is that you have to struggle with drugs or alcohol to belong here.

You don't.

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered, safe place where we can face life's hurts, hang-ups, and habits from A to Z, with Jesus Christ leading the way.

Maybe your struggle is anger.
Maybe it's anxiety.
Maybe it's codependency or control.
Maybe it's grief, fear, forgiveness, food issues, gambling, people-pleasing, po*******hy, relationship struggles, resentment, or something you've never told anyone about.

You don't have to wait until your life is falling apart to ask for help.

We ALL have something.

And at Celebrate Recovery, you don't have to pretend that everything is okay. You can find a Forever Family that will walk alongside you as you pursue healing, freedom, and a deeper relationship with Jesus.

Jesus, thank You for meeting us exactly where we are. Give us the courage to face the areas of our lives that need healing and the humility to ask for help. Surround us with people who will encourage us, challenge us, pray with us, and point us back to You. Lead the way as we take our next step toward healing.
