Those with sincere, undivided devotion—free from hypocrisy and selfish motives—will experience an intimate relationship with God both now and in eternity.
Being "pure in heart" goes far beyond outward actions; it requires aligning your inner desires, motives, and thoughts with God's holiness.
The reward of purity is that they "shall see God". This means experiencing His presence, recognizing His work in daily life, and having eternal communion with Him.

Those who actively show compassion, forgiveness, and grace to others will, in turn, receive that same mercy—both from the people around them and ultimately from God.
The Heart of the Verse
Active Compassion: "Mercy" in this context isn't just a feeling; it is compassion in action. It means helping those who are suffering, withholding judgment, and forgiving others even when they don't necessarily deserve it.
The Reciprocal Cycle: It points to a spiritual cycle. Because followers of Jesus have already received immense grace and forgiveness from God, they are expected to extend that same grace to others.

“Meek" refers to gentleness and humility rather than weakness. It is "strength under control". It describes a powerful personality brought under control. The meek submit to God instead of using force to get their way. They will inherit the renewed earth and God’s eternal kingdom.

Jesus subverts worldly expectations. Rather than measuring happiness by easy circumstances, He pronounces a spiritual blessing (an "enviable state") on the broken-hearted. True comfort comes to those who mourn over both personal sin and the brokenness of the world, relying on God for hope and restoration.

To be “poor in spirit” means to recognize spiritual emptiness, humility, and complete dependence on God. It is the opposite of spiritual pride or self-sufficiency, meaning you acknowledge that you cannot save or guide yourself without divine grace.
