ODBC Teens

ODBC Teens The Open Door Teen Ministry is part of Open Door Baptist Church in Denham Springs, LA. We invite you to come be apart of all the excitement at CORE.

Our goal is to love teenagers and equip them for life through the Gospel of Christ and practical Bible Truth. ODBC CORE Student Ministry meets every Wednesday evening starting at 7:00 PM in the Teen Room on the Second Floor of Open Door Baptist Church. Each evening incorporates game time, small groups, music, singing, prayer and a challenge from God's Word! Here at CORE we have monthly activities

and events as well as Spring Retreats and Summer camps. For more information please reach out to our Youth Pastor Ryan Faciane, he would be glad to help you in any way possible. The Teen Sunday School meets at 9:30 AM each Sunday morning. We incorporate:
• Bible Study with practical application
• Discussion on current issues in the lives of our teens'
• Prayer for each other
• Encouragement for the week ahead

We’re going DEEPER!
One of the things we love about our current Sunday School series is watching our teens learn how to study Scripture for themselves. This week they broke into groups, slowed down, made observations, asked questions, and worked together to discover what the text was actually saying.
The goal isn’t just to teach them the Bible. It’s to give them the tools to open God’s Word, study it, understand it, and grow from it for themselves.

Games worship fellowship and time in God’s Word.

Tonight we saw how meeting Christ changed everything for Paul. What he valued what he found and what he wanted all centered on one Person.

Men’s Retreat 2026 is coming!
Join us October 9–10 at Lion King Retreat Center for The Blueprint—a retreat designed to help men and young men build their lives on the foundation of Christ.
The weekend will include biblical teaching, fellowship, hands-on activities, and meaningful time together as we focus on becoming the men God has called us to be.
Adult men of all ages are invited. Young men in grades 9–12 are welcome to attend, and boys in grades 6–8 may attend with their dad.
Cost: $75 for men | $55 for teens
Meals, lodging, and activities are included.

This Sunday, we’re starting a new Sunday School series called Deeper: Go Beyond the Surface.
A lot of us read the Bible, but sometimes we miss the truths that are right beneath the surface. In this series, we’ll learn practical ways to slow down, understand what we’re reading, and study Scripture for ourselves.
Each week, teens will learn a Bible study skill and then get the chance to practice it together in class.
