🚩🍃Redeemer Church Family — A very important Lord’s Day update…
Dear Church family,
What a week this is been! Tuesday’s storm has left much of our region physically altered.
Many are still without power, generators are humming, the gas lines were crazy this week, many trees are still down, routines have been disrupted, and for some of our neighbors, the losses are far greater than mere inconvenience.
Yet, in the midst of the world that can change dramatically in a matter of minutes, our God has not changed! ♥️
📖 “ God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”
||Psa. 46:1||
And tomorrow is the Lords Day! 🙌
Even though our building is still without power, Christ is still building His church! Even though our normal routines have been interrupted, the ordinary means of grace remain precious to us. We still desire — to assemble as Christ’s redeemed people, to exalt our great God, to sing of His excellent greatness, to sit beneath His holy Word, to gather and speak about the King’s Table again, and to enjoy the fellowship of the saints.
We are very thankful for Pastor Rodney, and all the saints at Community Bible Church, who have graciously offered us to use their building after their morning service. ♥️👏
📍Tomorrow— Sunday, August 16
🕐 1:00pm
⛪️ Community Bible Church
814 Halleck St.
Demotte, IN 46310
Or, in simple terms: It’s the last church in town on your left as you’re heading out Demotte toward Valpo. 😊
🍞🍷 The King’s Table:
Receiving the Supper Worthily
📖 1 Corinthians 11:17:34
We will return to the passage we began considering last Lords Day and look together at Three (3) Responses that should mark every believer who comes to the Lord’s table.
Brothers and sisters, perhaps this week has reminded us afresh at how quickly the comforts of this present world can be shaken. Electricity fails. Trees fall. Plans change. Buildings can become unusable. But Christ remains: “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” ||Hebrews 13:8||
So come tomorrow – not because everything around us has returned to normal, but because our God is worthy whether life feels normal or not.
Come weary.
Come thankful.
Come ready to sing.
Come ready to hear God’s Hord.
Come ready to love one another.
And believers, come ready to gather your hearts around The Table of our King and consider the Savior who gave Himself for us. ♥️
Lord willing, we will see you tomorrow at 1 PM!
🙌📖♥️🙏
