Switching our perspective from "Christ and" to "Christ in."

Some of us struggle with “Christ and” our works – what we do and say – being the means of our salvation. Others struggle with “Christ and” our work or family being the measure of our identity and worth. Still others wonder if there’s more to life than just our
faith. Surely life is about knowing “Christ and”…right?

Paul’s answer in Colossians is that in all things it is only Christ alone. We are complete in Christ because he is at the center of all things. He rules over all things, the fullness of God is in him, and it is in him alone that redemption and reconciliation are found. In
short – everything in faith and life is about him!

This Sunday, we will be finishing our "Portraits of Godliness" series as we discuss the devotion of Mary from Luke 10:38-42. Often, we are torn between feeling like Martha — there's always so much to do — and wanting to be like Mary — all-in on following of Jesus our Lord. Life certainly is filled with demands, isn't it? We hope you can be here Sunday morning at 9:30 as we finish this series on how we can embody the very godliness of God himself in our lives.
