“The Cross is the way of Paradise, but only when it’s borne willingly.” - St. Paul of the Cross

🙏 Take a moment this Monday of Holy Week to stop and meditate with this verse. How can we bear our crosses more willingly this Holy Week?

Day one of the triduum down! May we take the example given last night, and continue to serve one another. May we also continue to pray for our priests and vocations! Hope to see you today as we continue our celebration that concludes with the vigil mass tomorrow.

Good morning on this beautiful Holy Thursday everyone! I am so sorry I have not kept up with posting as much as I would like to with this challenge. Today's story just broke my heart! The last time we went to Steubenville we actually got to hear and see Paul Kim as he was one of the main speakers there and I have been following him on social media since then. When I learned of the tragedy he was facing, like many people, I immediately started praying. Nobody ever wants to see families go through this, but the way that they have handled it is so beautiful! Trusting in God's divine providence is really hard and I can't even imagine how difficult it would be in a situation like that! Regardless of how tragic this story is, there's beauty in it. Belonging to a universal church that comes together in prayer for these situations, is truly amazing! This is a great reminder of how we are responsible for one another and how we can be there to support each other! As we enter the Easter triduum, may we lay down our burdens, ask for God's healing, and lift each other up in prayer. Thank you all so much for accompanying me on this journey this year! I will try to follow up with the challenge posts the next few days, but I might be a bit busy helping prepare our celebrations. I hope to see you there!

This is one of the most beautiful prayers/traditions I have learned over the years

Let's contemplate the Seven Swords that pierced Her Immaculate Heart.
The Seven Sorrows are:
1 – The Prophecy of Simeon
2 – The Flight into Egypt
3 – The Loss of the Child Jesus in the Temple
4 – The Meeting of Jesus and Mary on the Way of the Cross
5 – The Crucifixion
6 – The Taking Down of the Body of Jesus from the Cross
7 – The Burial of Jesus

Let Us Pray: Let intercession be made for us, we beseech You, O Lord Jesus Christ, now and at the Hour of our death, before the throne of Your mercy, by the Blessed Virgin Mary, Your Mother, whose most holy soul was pierced by a sword of sorrow in the hour of Your bitter Passion. Through You, O Jesus Christ, Savior of the world, Who with the Father and the Holy Spirit lives and reigns world without end. Amen.
