Honors on Father's Day
Our Father in Heaven is the opening phrase of the Lord’s Prayer, the foundational prayer Jesus Christ taught his disciples in the Bible. It establishes God not as a distant ruler, but as a loving, protective spiritual father. Honor God on Father’s Day, you can focus your actions, prayers, and thoughts on recognizing Him as the ultimate source of all fatherhood and life.
Give Thanks for His Perfect Fatherhood. Attend Church: Start the morning in community worship, dedicating the holiday to God.
Pray the Lord’s Prayer: Recite it slowly, focusing deeply on the words "Our Father in Heaven."
Celebrate a Spiritual Advisor on this day, who acknowledges that fatherhood is defined by leadership and love, not just biology.
Families and individuals frequently use Father’s Day to send thank-you notes, gift books, or offer prayers of gratitude for the priests, pastors, or mentors who have walked alongside them in their darkest and brightest moments. (Spiritual Advisors can be male or female. They guide us as the Holy Spirit does throughout our lives.)
Be a leader, be active, be informed!
