Our children & youth lead the congregation today in a Palm Sunday presentation illustrating how Jesus entered Jerusalem the week of His crucifixion. In Sunday school, we studied the “Holy Week” of Easter, Resurrection Sunday.

💟today, we honor Dr. Beard’s {our very talented pianist} incredible achievement.

Dr. Beard was named the Tennessee Organization of School Superintendents (TOSS) South Central Region Superintendent of the Year! 👏✨

Dr. Beard was selected by fellow superintendents across the South Central region, and it is an honor that truly reflects her leadership, dedication, and impact.

We are proud to honor Dr. Beard & honored to have Dr. Beard as our pianist at WBC💟

Praise God from whom all blessings flow. We love what the Lord is doing in the lives of Bill & Sohyna Swaim. Today was a very special day for us all with this baptism & fellowship meal. It was a full house & full hearts.

Tonight we celebrated the Birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. The children presented the nativity, Pastor Tom & Barb shared about their missionary journey & how the Lottie Moon Christmas offerings supported their work as missionaries, and had a delicious breakfast for supper meal.

Today we lit the candle of peace✝️

The 4th Sunday of Advent candle (often a purple candle, sometimes white in different traditions) is known as the "Angel's Candle" or "Candle of Peace". It symbolizes the peace brought by Jesus, the Prince of Peace, and recalls the angel's message of "peace on earth, good will toward men". It represents the final preparation for Christ's birth.

Sunday, we lit the 3rd candle of the advent wreath. This is the pink candle of joy.

The pink candle of joy in the Advent wreath relates to verses about the great joy of Christ's coming, especially Luke 2:10-11 (the angel's message to the shepherds: "good news of great joy for all the people").

Another beautiful day at Wheelerton Baptist church worshipping & serving the Lord.

✝️We lit the second candle…The second candle of Advent, typically purple like the first, symbolizes Peace and is often called the "Bethlehem Candle," representing Mary and Joseph's journey to Bethlehem and the peace Jesus brings as the "Prince of Peace".
✝️We held a baby sprinkle for Fannie’s granddaughter, Jessie, with diapers & wipes.
✝️We wrapped gifts for children currently at the shelter.

Hanging of the Greens, preparing our congregational home, our place of worship for the coming of Christ. We also started the season of advent by lighting the first candle… candle of hope.(aka the candle of prophecy from the prophecy of Isaiah)

🦃our bellies were full, but not as full as our hearts! Thanksgiving fellowship meal was the best. We missed the ones that couldn’t join us.
