Due to the impending thunderstorms (and the fact that the majority of our congregation is over 65 years old)😇 Newton Baptist Church will NOT have evening services tonight. Everyone stay safe!

Newton ladies (and gentlemen who want to cook), we will be celebrating Valentines and Larry Bunch Day on February 15th. We will have lunch following morning Worship service. The menu is Italian food. We will pass a list this Sunday. Options are for Italian entrees, salads, rolls, tea, and desserts. Thought we might all need some time to think about it!

Newton Baptist Church is still without power and will need a good bit of cleanup to area before it is safe. We will not have services tomorrow, February 1st. Everyone stay safe and warm!

God is so good!!! The community and surrounding area has reached out tremendously for the Ronny Blake family - even during this weather disaster!! Keep praying for their mental and emotional well being as well. Losing everything, including a family pet, is difficult to deal with.

Update on Ronny Blake and Laura Blake situation: we've had a good many donations of clothes and more promised. We're trying to get a generator hooked up at our church's parsonage for them to live in for now. They need BASIC living supplies like towels, linens, blankets, cookware. They also have a bank account at Guaranty Bank in Delhi that you can deposit funds into - or if you need possible deductibility as a charitable donation, you can make check payable to Newton Baptist Church and memo love offering for the Blake family and we'll get it to them.

Ronny & Laura Blake and Adalyn escaped their burning home last night with only the clothes they had on. If you can help, here are their sizes. Ronny: 38x34 pants, 3X shirt; Laura: 2X; Adi: 14/16 & 5/6 shoe (she only had socks on last night).

Due to widespread sickness and inclement weather moving in today and through the weekend, services for tonight (Wednesday) and Sunday morning (January 25th) at Newton Baptist Church are cancelled. Everyone stay healthy, safe, warm and dry!!
