Delano Baptist Church exists first and foremost to glorify God and to spread his word to others so that everyone may come to know Christ. We welcome everyone with a kind smile and open arms. Obituary and service for our dear friend.

Patsy Begley Davis, 73 of Etowah, passed away on May 22, 2026 at her home surrounded by her family whom she loved so much.

Patsy was a native of Hawkins County, TN but moved to McMinn County in 1959 when she was just 6 years old. She was a devout Christian and long time member of Delano Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Earnest & Jean Begley; grandparents Will & Mae Debord and Charlie & Birdie Begley; brother-in-law Ronnie Davis, several aunts and uncles, and special cousins, Rhonda Reed and Donna Clayton.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 49 years, Steven Davis; daughter, Julie Davis of Etowah; brother, Mike Begley of Etowah; brother and sister-in-law, William “Bill” and Deborah Begley of Athens; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Lynn and Lala Davis of Charleston; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Larry and Rebecca Davis of Delano; son-in-law Kevin McGraw; special cousin, Deb Stiles; special friends, Billie Tallent & Amy Lockhart; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Gentiva Hospice for their care and support during this difficult time. Micah Begley, Matt Begley, Derrick Davis, Trey Fealey, Greg DeBord, Lucas Cooley, Landen Cooley, and Logan Cooley will serve as pallbearers.

Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at Delano Baptist Church with Pastor Jake Cook officiating.

Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service at the church.

Family and friends will assemble at Green Hill Cemetery on Wednesday, May 27 for the 11:00 a.m. committal service.
