One of the greatest traps in the Christian life is the pursuit of your own righteousness.
When we believe that God will answer our prayers only after we have prayed long enough, attended faithfully enough, or performed well enough, we have misunderstood the gospel entirely.
Righteousness is not something you earn. It is something you receive. Christ took your sin and gave you His standing before the Father. That exchange was final and complete. Seeking His righteousness, as Jesus instructed in Matthew 6:33, means resting in what He has already provided rather than striving to manufacture something God has already given. Receive it. Rest in it. Walk in it. ❤️

💭Reflection: Are you approaching God as someone trying to earn His favor, or as someone who has already received it? How does the difference between obligation and love change the way you worship, and serve?

Practical Application: Identify one religious habit you have been performing out of obligation rather than love. Ask the to transform that habit into an act of genuine relationship and gratitude. 🙌🏼❤️

You Are a New Creation

📖 Reading: 2 Corinthians 5:17 — a passage declaring that anyone who is in Christ is a new creation, with old things having passed away and all things having become new

📝 Devotional: The new birth is not simply an emotional experience you had at an altar. It is a genuine spiritual transformation — the regeneration of your inner being. When God looks at you, He does not see your failures, your history, or your worst moments. His perception of you is filtered through the blood of His Son. The old version of you has been dealt with already in the spirit. Your responsibility now is to walk out what has already been accomplished. You are not trying to become something. You already are something. You are a new creation in Christ Jesus. Walk like it. Talk like it. Believe it, especially on the days it does not feel true.

🪞Reflection: What old identity or old label are you still carrying that Christ has already removed? What would change in your daily life if you fully believed you were a new creation?

✍️ Practical Application: Speak this declaration aloud today and each morning this week:
“I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. I am a new creation. Old things have passed away, and all things have become new.”

What a sweet time celebrating David and Ashley at their home! We are so excited to welcome another sweet baby into our church family!

David and Ashley are such a blessing to our church! They have such hearts to serve and love others, and today we got to turn around and love on them! 💙

This is one of the things I love most about our church! We don’t just do church together, we do life together! We celebrate each other, we show up for each other and we love like family! Because that’s what the body of Christ is supposed to look like!

Redemption is not a theological concept reserved for seminary classrooms. It is the personal, powerful reality that God reached into the darkness of your life and pulled you out. He did not simply rescue you and leave you where He found you. He transferred you — translated you — from one kingdom into another. That word transferred carries the weight of a deliberate, decisive act. God did not accidentally stumble upon your brokenness. He came for you with You have been qualified not by your performance but by the blood of Jesus. Stop waiting until you feel You have already been made fit.

God’s word is not a collection of ancient opinions or cultural stories passed down through generations. It is the living truth of a timeless God who does not change!

When you read , you are not encountering a philosophy — you are encountering the heart of God on paper. His word has produced results throughout history: the lame walked, the dead were raised, and storms went quiet. That same word is available to you today. The question is not whether the word works. The question is whether you will believe it enough to stand on it when circumstances say otherwise. Plant it. Watch it produce its harvest.

💭 THOUGHT: What area of your life are you allowing personal doubt or tradition to make the word of God ineffective? Ask God to renew your confidence in the truth of His word today.

✅ Application: Choose one Scripture promise that directly addresses a current struggle. Write it down, speak it aloud each morning this week, and refuse to let circumstances have the final word.

Thank you for showing up EVERY week to lead our people and the young people of 1CHURCH! Your leadership doesn’t stop at the stage on Sunday. Thank you for your heart for worship, your heart for our youth, and your faithfulness to the body💖💖we love you so BIG and we celebrate the day you were born today❤️❤️

There are so many special moments that come with being part of a church family, but watching your sheep get baptized never gets old!

This is what it’s all about!
Seeing the next generation come to know Jesus and make the decision to follow Him!
