Church with FBC kids.

Thankful for every smile, laugh, prayer request, crumb, mess, and hugs these kids bring into our church building.

Thankful especially for their families that support our ministry.

This week we head to Matthew 28 to hear the Great Commission. Here the disciples encounter Jesus after his resurrection and Jesus makes a promise to be with us forever and reassures us of His love and support. By accepting his gift of salvation and trusting in His sacrifice, we have eternal life and can boldly share His message with others.

Over the past few weeks, we've learned how
God is our helper, our provider, and our protector. Today, we will discover that Jesus
is always with us, no matter where we go or what we do. And he calls us to share this message with those around us.

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the father end of the sun and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20

Today we head to the Old Testament to hear about Elijah and the Widow.

As we learn about God providing for us, in 1 Kings 17 we read about God providing for Elijah and then later for the Widow.

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

Daniel in the Lion’s Den 🦁
God is my Protector

This week read the story of Daniel from Daniel 6
Daniel was a faithful servant to God and because of his faith, those around him chose to punish him. They threw them into a den of lions, but God’s protection is greater than all things.

Take the time to read Daniel 6, how Daniel’s hope, faith, and trust were fully on God.

This week we focus on God protecting Daniel from the lions and how he protects us from the consequences of our sin through Jesus. Jesus came to save us by dying on the cross and rising again, offering us eternal life and a relationship with God. When we put our faith and trust in Jesus, we are safe in God’s hands, forever.

🙏🏼 Dear God, thank you for always being our protector, just like you protected Daniel in the lions den. Help us to trust you in every situation, knowing that you are always with us and keeping us safe. We pray for our friends and our family, and our community that they may see you and your love through our words and actions. In your name we pray, Amen.

As many of our students head back to school, lessons, games, meets, class, and activities we are taking the next few weeks to learn that
God is always with us. Through bible verses and stories we want to equip our students with the reminders that God is present in their daily
lives, they can share the love of God with those around them and face challenges knowing God is always with them.

This week we learn of a young shepherd boy named David. 1 Samuel 17 tells of
a boy who follows God's call to be brave and face an actual giant. He preservers by his faith, showing us today that God empowers us to face our greatest challenges.

Dear God, thank You for always being with us and helping us, just like You helped David. We know that with Your help, we can face any
challenge. Please be with us as we start this new school year. Help us to be brave and to remember that You are always with us. We pray for our students and staff, and we ask that You give us peace and strength. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Our memory verse for the month is Joshua 1:9
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
