Good morning!
Today’s message is brought to us by our brother Osric!
We apologize we could not do a video message with our brother but we have done a voice over for those who need it with the message that our brother shared!
We hope it is of blessing for each and every one of you all!
Luke 23:22-23, 25 NLT. (The story of Barabbas)
[22] For the third time he demanded, “Why? What crime has he committed? I have found no reason to sentence him to death. So I will have him flogged, and then I will release him.” [23] But the mob shouted louder and louder, demanding that Jesus be crucified, and their voices prevailed.
[25] As they had requested, he released Barabbas, the man in prison for insurrection and murder. But he turned Jesus over to them to do as they wished.
Barabbas was a man who lead a rebellion and a murderer. A man who probably didn't think twice about Jesus when he was released. It’s easy to think Barabbas didn't deserve to be released, I mean come on Jesus taking the place of someone like Barabbas???
Jesus who healed the sick, casted out demons, has compassion for His people. Jesus who laid down His Heavenly Glory and Rightful Crown to take human form. God loves Barabbas just as much as He loves me, you or anyone in this world.
We have to remind ourselves that we are Barabbas. Our Salvation is a gift....not deserved, earned or to be boastful about. Salvation is God's Unmerited favor and Love for everyone!
This message is a reminder that those who have accepted this Salvation is a gift! There is no work you can do to deserve or earn your Salvation, but God gifts it out of his Love and Compassion for us. Those who haven't accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior, you are not too far gone. The Lord is waiting for those to repent and accepting of His Love!
Romans 8:38 NLT
[38] And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.
