Dear Community Members,
I hope everyone is doing well. I want to provide an update on the GMRS Community Communications Project, which many of you have expressed support for. This initiative was designed to strengthen our local communication network, especially for emergency situations, neighborhood coordination, and community preparedness.
Over the past months, I have worked consistently to move the project forward, including setting up equipment, planning repeater placement, and preparing documentation for the city. However, progress has slowed due to ongoing delays in receiving the necessary approvals and responses from local government representatives. While I fully respect the many responsibilities our officials manage, these delays have unfortunately prevented the project from advancing to the next stage.
I want to emphasize that my goal is not to criticize any individual or office. Rather, I want to bring awareness to the situation so our community understands where things stand. The project represents a valuable resource for everyone, and with cooperative effort, we can help ensure it becomes a reality.
I remain committed to working respectfully and collaboratively with our local leaders. I kindly invite community members who see the value in this project to express their support or ask questions. Community interest can help demonstrate the importance of reliable communication tools—especially in emergencies when every second matters.
Thank you for your time, support, and continued engagement. Together, we can help strengthen our community’s safety and connectivity.
Respectfully,
Art
