When Isaac asked, “Where is the lamb?” Abraham answered:

“God will provide for Himself the lamb.”

Those words reached far beyond Mount Moriah.

God provided the sacrifice.
God provided forgiveness.
God provided redemption.
God provided resurrection.

David cried out, “Restore to me the joy of Your salvation.”

Paul later declared that because Christ is risen, our labor is not in vain.

What Abraham saw in promise, David experienced in mercy, and Paul proclaimed in victory all point to Jesus.

The cross was not God’s response to man’s failure.

It was God’s provision before the foundation of the world.

The Lamb was always the plan.

Paul tells us to be steadfast and immovable.

But how?

Psalm 46 reveals the answer:

“There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God.”

Isaac understood this principle. Before digging the well, he built the altar. Before seeking provision, he sought God.

Too often we chase the well while neglecting the altar.

The river of God’s presence is still flowing today. It is not sustained by our strength, our programs, or our abilities. It flows from Him.

A steadfast life is not built by determination alone.

It is built by continually returning to the presence of God.

The altar keeps us connected to the Source. The river keeps us supplied.

David’s fall did not begin with Bathsheba. It began when he stopped being where he was supposed to be. Noah left the ark and built an altar. David stayed home and climbed a rooftop.

One man responded to God’s faithfulness with worship. The other allowed comfort to replace purpose.

The enemy rarely starts by pulling us into great sin. He simply distracts us from the altar and redirects our attention toward what appears pleasant.

The Church must be careful not to exchange God’s presence for comfort, convenience, or cultural acceptance.

The answer is not trying harder. The answer is returning to the altar and praying:

“Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.”

When our eyes stay fixed on Christ, our hearts stay aligned with His purpose.

The greatest demonstration of Romans 8:28 is the Cross.

What man intended for destruction, God turned into redemption.

What looked like defeat became victory.

What looked like death produced life.

The enemy saw an ending.

God saw a beginning.

Never judge God’s plan by what you see in the moment.

Resurrection often begins in places that look hopeless.

If God can bring salvation from a cross and life from a tomb, He can bring purpose from every circumstance you face.

The story is not over.

God is still working.

All Things Working Together

Romans 8:28

Not all things are good.

But God is able to work all things together for good.

The delay.
The disappointment.
The unanswered questions.
The closed door.
The difficult season.

God wastes nothing.

What looks like a setback today may become the testimony of tomorrow.

The cross looked like defeat before it revealed victory.

Trust the process when you cannot see the outcome.

The God who began the work is still working.

The church at Corinth became divided because people began following personalities instead of Christ.

Paul asked a powerful question:

“Is Christ divided?”

When our eyes are fixed on people, division follows.

When our eyes are fixed on Jesus, unity follows.

People will disappoint.
Leaders will fail.
Opinions will differ.

But Jesus remains the same yesterday, today, and forever.

The answer has never been a personality.

The answer has always been Christ.
