We are people eager to learn, serve others, and grow in love for our Creator, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. Our services include prayer, lots of music, and inspiring messages for adults and children. After the service, youth group and children's church school classes take place upstairs, and nursery care is provided. Adults are invited to gather for coffee, and many attend one of our informal
groups from 10:15 to 11 a.m. These groups focus on various interests and perspectives: Families of Faith, Scripture Seekers, Aging with Grace, Contemplative Spirituality, Caring for Creation. During the week, The Pastor welcomes emails and phone calls, as well as drop-in visits at the church ([email protected] or 603-463-7734). You also may contact Administrative Assistant at the same phone number or at [email protected]. About:
Our church members worship, work, and play together with the goal of deepening spiritually and translating faith into action. We joyfully celebrate the Living God’s ongoing presence and guidance. As a member of the United Church of Christ, we affirm that God is still speaking in our day and age. In keeping with our Congregational roots, DCC stands in the free-church tradition, preaching the Gospel and also respecting the right of individuals to prayerfully make their own decisions about faith and practice. We seek to be welcoming to all, respecting diversity in a way that enhances our unity and connection with God. On January 26, 2020, the members of the Deerfield Community Church voted overwhelmingly to approve the following Open and Affirming covenant:
We, the members of Deerfield Community Church, United Church of Christ, believe that all people are created in God’s image and therefore are loved, valued, and blessed by God. We welcome all who seek to follow or understand Jesus Christ. This community of faith is an Open and Affirming congregation which welcomes persons of all races, ethnic backgrounds, ages, sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions, physical or mental abilities, family structures and marital status, faiths, and socio-economic background. All persons are invited to fully share and participate in the membership, leadership, ministry, fellowship, worship, sacraments, responsibilities, blessings and joys of our church family. Trusting in God’s grace and with guidance from the Holy Spirit, we are committed to the on- going work of inclusivity and discovering ways to live out our support and respect for all people as God’s beloved children.
