Очень важно не воспринимать воскресную Литургию как случайное или второстепенное событие. Для православного христианина она является центром недели. Через участие в Божественной литургии мы вновь возвращаемся к самому главному: к молитве, покаянию, благодарению, Причастию и живому общению со Христом.

Когда человек старается начинать неделю с Литургии, вся его жизнь постепенно получает правильное направление. Работа, семья, заботы, трудности и радости остаются частью нашей повседневности, но воскресный день помогает нам помнить, ради чего мы живем и к Кому идем.

Конечно, бывают разные обстоятельства: болезнь, работа, семейные обязанности, дальняя дорога. Церковь знает человеческую немощь и смотрит на человека с любовью. Но когда у нас есть возможность быть в храме в воскресный день, важно не терять этот дар. Воскресная служба укрепляет душу, возвращает мир сердцу и помогает человеку не рассеяться среди забот этой жизни.

Пусть каждое воскресенье будет для нас не просто завершением одной недели или началом другой, а встречей с Воскресшим Христом. Будем стараться хранить этот день с благоговением, благодарностью и любовью, чтобы свет Пасхи продолжал освящать нашу жизнь не только в пр

После великих праздников Пасхи, Вознесения и Святой Троицы церковный год постепенно входит в более спокойное время. Но это не значит, что духовная жизнь становится менее важной или менее насыщенной. Каждое воскресенье вновь приводит нас к главному событию нашей веры — к Воскресению Христову.

Воскресный день для христианина — это не просто выходной день и не только удобное время для посещения храма. С первых веков Церкви воскресенье стало днем особой молитвы, Евхаристии и радости о Воскресшем Господе. Именно в этот день христиане собирались вместе, чтобы слушать слово Божие, приносить благодарение, причащаться Святых Христовых Таин и укрепляться в вере.

Поэтому каждое воскресенье Церковь называет малой Пасхой. Пасха бывает один раз в году как величайший Праздник праздников и Торжество из торжеств, но свет Воскресения Христова озаряет каждую неделю. Воскресенье напоминает нам, что Христос победил смерть, открыл нам путь к вечной жизни и продолжает быть среди Своей Церкви.

It is very important not to treat the Sunday Liturgy as something accidental or secondary. For an Orthodox Christian, it is the center of the week. Through participation in the Divine Liturgy, we return again to what is most important: prayer, repentance, thanksgiving, Holy Communion, and living communion with Christ.

When a person strives to begin the week with the Liturgy, his whole life gradually receives the right direction. Work, family, responsibilities, difficulties, and joys remain part of our daily life, but Sunday helps us remember why we live and toward Whom we are going.

Of course, there are different circumstances: illness, work, family obligations, or distance. The Church knows human weakness and looks upon each person with love. But when we have the opportunity to be in church on Sunday, it is important not to lose this gift. The Sunday service strengthens the soul, restores peace to the heart, and helps a person not become scattered amid the cares of this life.

May every Sunday be for us not merely the end of one week or the beginning of another, but an encounter with the Risen Christ. Let us strive to keep this day with reverence, gratitude, and love, so that the light of Pascha may continue to illumine our lives not only on feast days, but every week.

We joyfully await all of you at the Sunday Divine Liturgy, so that with one mouth and one heart we may glorify the Risen Lord.

After the great feasts of Pascha, the Ascension, and the Holy Trinity, the Church year gradually enters a quieter time. Yet this does not mean that our spiritual life becomes less important or less full. Every Sunday brings us again to the central event of our faith: the Resurrection of Christ.

For a Christian, Sunday is not simply a day off or a convenient time to come to church. From the first centuries of the Church, Sunday has been a day of special prayer, Eucharist, and joy in the Risen Lord. On this day, Christians gathered together to hear the word of God, to offer thanksgiving, to receive the Holy Mysteries of Christ, and to be strengthened in faith.

This is why the Church calls every Sunday a little Pascha. Pascha is celebrated once a year as the greatest Feast of feasts and Triumph of triumphs, yet the light of Christ’s Resurrection illumines every week. Sunday reminds us that Christ has conquered death, opened to us the path to eternal life, and continues to be present among His Church.

⭐️ EXCITING NEWS! Our Resurrection Cathedral permit is expected THIS MONTH, allowing construction to resume soon.

⭐️ The new Saint Luke the Evangelist Chapel at Paideia
opens this August. By July 1, all ROC parish property must be packed & moved into storage as Paideia begins Great Hall renovations.

Services will be held in the small chapel at Paidiea through the month of July.

⭐️ Новая часовня святого апостола и евангелиста Луки в Paideia откроется уже в августе! До 1 июля все имущество прихода Собора должно быть упаковано и перевезено на хранение, поскольку Paideia начинает ремонт Большого зала.

В июле все богослужения будут совершаться в малой часовне при Paideia.
