Kenwood is offering a six-week parenting class led by Tried and True Parenting. The class is biblically-based and uses Scripture to teach parents how to parent in a godly way. Tried & True consultation is grounded in Common Sense Parenting® methods that are derived directly from the Boys Town Treatment model in Boys Town, Nebraska. The Boys Town model is centered around the fact that every child and family can succeed, regardless of their circumstance, background, make-up, or because of any barrier, limitation or challenge - be it physical, emotional, behavioral, or beyond. Scholarships are available by contacting the office.

RISE for moms is a community of moms who meet once a month to discuss motherhood and Jesus. Our groups meet the second week of each month from September through May. Our kickoff meeting will be on September 12th, from 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. at Kenwood Baptist Church. After this first meeting we will break into small groups and meet in homes around the city until May when we will all be back together at Kenwood Baptist Church.

Good Morning, Ladies!!

We are super excited to announce that our Registration for RISE for moms (formerly known as MOPS at KBC) is LIVE (see link below)!! This year, we will be opening up to moms of ALL AGES! We will kickoff our first meeting of the year together on September 12th, 2019 from 9:30-11:30 am at Kenwood Baptist Church in the multipurpose room. The meetings for October through April will be in home groups around the city (Our final group meeting will be a closing celebration together at KBC in May, as well). When you register through the link below, you will have an opportunity to choose your first, second, and third choice for a group. It is a first come, first serve registration, so those registering earlier will likely have a greater chance to receive their first choice. You will get to meet your group facilitator and host team along with your fellow group members at our September meeting.

Important notes about this year:
-We are launching an evening group for working moms to have a chance to meet and be in community together! This group will be facilitated by Amy B., so share with any moms you know that might be interested! This group will not meet with the whole group in the morning in September or May- they will kickoff together at KBC September 12th at their regular evening meeting time.
-Our THEME for the year is Thriving In Motherhood. We will be diving into what the Gospel has to say about thriving, not just surviving, in our roles as mommas.
-We are using the Risen Motherhood podcast and a guided discussion curriculum (created by our leadership team) instead of a book study this year. Podcasts will be played in group, but you're welcome (and encouraged) to listen to the podcast on your own.
-You can respond to this email with any questions you may have.
-Registration fees are $35, which will help with childcare, plus you will receive a swag bag filled with your guided discussion curriculum, the Risen Motherhood Book (not reading together as a whole group, but a beautiful resource!), and many more lovely surprises!
-PLEASE feel free to share this registration link with any of your mom friends, neighbors, etc.
