WOW!

A BIG thank you to all who participated in our very 1st Side by Side Ride and Sweet Corn Boil. This event started out as an idea to raise funds to satisfy a pledge we made to support the The Highlands Senior Living Communities in their quest to build a new building. Preliminary reports are showing that we met our goal; thank you!

Many positive comments on the food were welcomed and there were some UFF DA moments during the long ride. Many thanks go out to the landowners who allowed us to travel their scenic trails and allowing a rest stop in a beautiful place. Overall a great day of food, fun and fellowship!

We are excited and hope you are too!

Highland's first ever Sweet Corn Boil and Side x Side Ride event is Sunday August 23, 2026.

The weather forecast is looking favorable to be a great day.

Please join us for worship at 10 a.m.

Following the service around 11:15 a.m. we will be serving
a picnic style meal featuring sweet corn on the cob, a brat or hot dog, chips, lemonade or bottled water, a cookie or bar, this is the $10 meal deal. Add on's available at ala carte pricing. Meal cashier will be outside by the side entrance. Food will be served out of the white building. Outside or inside seating.

All are welcome!

You do not need to be on the Side by Side Ride to eat.

The Side x Side Ride will commence at the earliest 12 noon. Registration for the ride will be at the long picnic table at the north end of the sidewalk. A lien release will need to be completed to participate in the ride. Cost of ride $10 per person payable upon registration. Those who do not have a UTV may request to be a passenger on host machine. Please inquire at the registration table for availability.

Ride your machine to church, if you are trailering park on the wide area on church side of the road or by the arborvitae wind break.

Do not park on neighboring private property!

Please no consumption of alcohol on Church grounds.

Many have asking about the Iowa Governor's Charity Steer Show, Keatyn finished 4th out of 25 contestants. So proud of this gal and her brothers on the left Kasey & Kolin "who do for the kids".
