BMBC InStep Ministry

BMBC InStep Ministry Est. in 1998, InStep is a ministry of Beulah Missionary Baptist Church in Decatur, Georgia where Rev In the year of 1998, the birthing of InStep took place.

Between the years of 1995 and 1997, a few young ladies envisioned having a step/dance team. They knew that the youth of Beulah had a passion for Christ, but needed an outlet to express their love for Him. For many months, these young ladies created steps and choreographed dances which they would perform during Beulah’s basketball games in an effort to minister to the saved and unsaved. The recruit

ment of young ladies between the ages of five and sixteen was initiated and they became known as the InStep Ladies. Due to the awesome success of the InStep Ladies there was an increased interest from the young men of Beulah to start a male step team. hey became Men of Beulah Squad, affectionately known as the MOB Squad. For years, the organization continued to grow, and young people became totally “Souled Out for Christ!” Due to the continued growth within the ministry, further restructuring continues to take place. Currently, InStep is comprised of a leadership team, which acts as a governing body for the organization. Additionally, InStep is privileged to have committed parents who work as Parent and Missions Committee Members. This group helps to manage seventy-five to one-hundred members. Moreover, InStep is represented by six different teams including InStep Cuties, InStep Sweeties, Mighty Mystros, InStep Ladies, MOB Squad, and InStep Jewels. Also, the parents and instructors of InStep have the opportunity to
minister by way of stepping. They serve as a great source of support for InStep. Over the past seventeen years, InStep has had mountaintop and valley low experiences; however, InStep can attest that from there unto here the Lord has helped them (1 Samuel 7:12)!

Congratulations are in order for our very own Zenina Freeman!!! Zenina was once a member of InStep Ministry and returned to give of her time and talents as an instructor. We’re sharing a few pictures of Zenina as a member of the InStep Ladies and as an instructor of our InStep Jewels.

Zenina has earned her college degree. As her cap states “God is within her, she will not fail”! We are so very proud of you Zenina and thank you for being an example to our youth.
