A church that once gathered people for worship is becoming a new ministry of hope.

Wellroot is transforming the former Avondale Pattillo United Methodist Church into a , a place where children, youth, and families will find housing, behavioral health services, and community support.

For many of you who remember Wellroot's history as the United Methodist Children's Home, this project reflects a mission that has guided us since 1871: caring for children and strengthening families. The building may be changing, but the calling remains the same.

Join us in prayer for Panama after a magnitude 7.7 earthquake struck the country's Azuero Peninsula today, with significant damage and severe injuries reported in the Veraguas, Herrera, and Los Santos provinces. We pray especially for those who have lost their homes and livelihoods, and for the first responders assisting evacuees and those who have been injured.
