Digital Faith Community

Digital Faith Community Communities. Connected. The Digital Faith Community was conceived in 2004 to help provide a technology framework that mapped to the polity of the church.

Web technology continued to advance at a rapid pace, social networks were developing online and churches were struggling to adapt new technologies to the mission of the church. At the time, many website developers, content management systems and ‘out of the box’ solutions were being adapted, often by volunteers to create simple web 1.0 online presences for churches. These ad hoc and open source so

lutions are not built with the unique characteristics of the church in mind. Adapting web publishing tools, mega-church software or blog engines for connectional church presence missed the mark and mission of our denominational community of faith.
