Fall Sundays at Decatur City. 🍂☕

Coffee in hand, football plans for later, and a morning with people you’re glad to see. Add us to your weekend plans!

This Sunday, Waumba Land and UpStreet are celebrating Mega Awesome Costume Party. Not-so-scary costumes welcome! 🎃

Middle schoolers, Trick or Transit is happening at 11:15 AM with games, prizes, and treats. And high schoolers, InsideOut’s spookiest night of the week, Unsolved, is happening from 4:30–6:30 PM! 👻

We’ll have fall treats outside after church, too. Stick around for a little longer!

See you at 9:15 or 11:15 AM.

A Decatur City Sunday, more or less:

☕ Coffee that was definitely hotter when you left the house
🚗 Somebody asking, “Are we late?”
👟 A child in mismatched shoes that absolutely were not the original plan
👋 Running into someone you haven’t caught up with in way too long
🎶 One song that follows you into Monday

One of our newest volunteers joined a team just five weeks after their first visit to Decatur City.

When they told us about it, this part stuck with us: “It is my favorite part of the week!”

You don’t have to know everyone before joining a team. Sometimes joining a team is how you get to know people. 💛

To the people pictured here, and everyone who gives their time on Sundays: we’re so glad you’re part of this.

What’s something you’ve enjoyed about serving that you didn’t expect?

See you Sunday, Decatur City! 💛

Andy Stanley will be speaking this Sunday, and there’s time to meet a few new people between services, too. Single adults, join us for Singles Coffee Hour in the Attic from 10:15–11:15 AM. ☕

Here’s the plan for October 18:
🕘 Services at 9:15 & 11:15 AM
👶 Waumba Land & UpStreet at both services
🌀 No Transit this week as our 7th & 8th graders are away at Frequency
🙌 InsideOut at 4:30–6:30 PM
📍 1995 Clairmont Rd, Decatur

Bring a friend and come spend the morning with us!

“All we had to do was just say yes.” 💛

John first served with Friends of Refugees through Be Rich four years ago. What started as a project with his family became a place his small group kept coming back to.

From moving mulch to building and improving the garden, they’ve found ways to put their skills to work at Jolly Avenue Garden in Clarkston, where refugee families grow food and build community. Now the question in their group is, “When’s our next service project?” 🌱

Waumba Land and UpStreet kids, get those costumes ready! 🎃

Fall Fest is coming to Decatur City on October 25! These photos from last year are getting us excited to do it all again.

Waumba Land and UpStreet are celebrating with Mega Awesome Costume Parties! Bring your preschoolers and elementary kids in their favorite not-so-scary costumes. UpStreet kids can also invite a friend for games and a chance to win prizes during their regular UpStreet hour.

Stick around after church for fall treats outside, too! 🍂

A few familiar faces, a little dirt, and a morning spent serving. 🌱

Our staff joined Friends of Refugees, one of our Be Rich partners, at Jolly Avenue Garden in Clarkston. Through community gardening, the garden helps refugee families grow food as they build abundant new lives in America.

Want to join a Be Rich serve project? There are more opportunities to get involved, and we’d love for you to find one!

Explore projects and sign up at decaturcity.org/be-rich. 💛
