This month, we’re honored to partner with Summerhill Community Ministries (SCM) — a faith-based nonprofit serving children and families in Atlanta through year-round programs focused on education, youth development, family support, and community connection.

This summer, SCM is pouring into the youth of our city through camps, events, and their annual Book Fair Carnival.

Here are a few ways to get involved:
📚 Donate a new or very gently used children’s book for SCM’s summer book fair campaign 🎁 Shop their summer program wishlist 🙌 Volunteer at the Book Fair Carnival on July 8 (9:30am–12pm) to help lead games, activities, food stations, and create a welcoming environment for families 🍦 Plus — volunteers are invited to join us for ice cream at Big Softie afterward!

Immanuel community–let’s feast! Our Pentecost Potluck is this Sunday, May 24th, immediately following the 11am service.

Pentecost is the day when we celebrate the Holy Spirit’s arrival and the birth of the church, which is the body of Christ composed of every tribe, tongue, family, and nation.

To celebrate Pentecost, we will share food from the various places we have lived or loved around the world as we lean into the beauty and diversity of God’s church.

Join us tomorrow evening, May 13th, at 7pm for a special night of Worship & Prayer featuring Eric Marshall of . Songs like "Praise the Lord Ye Heavens" and "Come to Us O Lord" are ones we sing often on Sundays.

This time of worship will be centered on Easter through imaginative prayer, sacred song, and silence. These spacious services are designed for us to receive from the ministry of the Holy Spirit.

A couple weeks ago, we hosted our Immanuel Artist Panel, where we made space for a panel discussion with the four artists who created the liturgical paintings in our atrium. This was a beautiful, spiritually-enriching night where we were able to more deeply appreciate the artists in our Immanuel community by hearing about their creative processes and the influence that faith has had on their artistic journeys.

So thankful to those who showed up and supported these talented artists! 🎨
