So thankful for our pastors!

Happy Pastor Appreciation Day! 🙌

As we look forward to welcoming our new Lead Pastor, Darrell Tomasek, next Sunday, we thank the Lord for His guidance throughout this season of transition. We are excited to see what He has in store for First Baptist Decatur in the days ahead!

We’re also incredibly grateful for our pastors and ministry staff who have faithfully cared for our church family, as well as the guest preachers who have shared God’s Word with us during this season. Your dedication and commitment to the Lord and His people have been a tremendous blessing!

Church family, please join us in thanking God for those who faithfully serve and take a moment to encourage them in the comments below!

Kids’ Christmas Choir 🎄

Children’s Choir is an opportunity for children to grow in their love for Christ while learning to worship, sing, serve, and encourage others through music. We desire to create a joyful, welcoming environment where every child can participate and use their gifts to glorify God.

Our Kids’ Christmas Choir is open to children in Kindergarten–6th Grade. Rehearsals will be held Sundays at 5:30 PM beginning October 11, as we prepare to lead our church family in worship during our Christmas Night of Worship on December 6.

We’re excited to make this Christmas season a meaningful and joyful opportunity for our kids to use their voices to celebrate Jesus! ❤️

If you’re interested in serving, message us or email [email protected]. 💙

We’d love to have you join the Basecamp team!

🎉 Happy 88th Birthday, Mrs. Janis!

Today we’re celebrating someone pretty special! Mrs. Janis is 88 years young and still faithfully serving in Kid’s Ministry.

We’re so thankful for the love, time, and heart she continues to pour into our kids. What a beautiful example of serving Jesus and investing in the next generation!

And if Mrs. Janis has you thinking, “I’d love to serve too,” we’d love to have you join the Basecamp team! Find out more at firstdecatur.us/serve.
