WHAT IF EVERY ADULT IN OUR CHURCH WAS GONE TOMORROW? Would our children know how to carry on the work of the church?
This morning at Bethsadia Baptist, our Youth Sunday gave us an answer and it was a beautiful one. Our young people sang, led the worship service, brought the Word, led the songs, took up the offering, made the announcements, and served in so many ways.
Today was proof that when we pour into our children, teach them God’s Word, give them opportunities to serve, and trust them with responsibility, we are preparing the next generation to carry the Gospel forward.
If every adult in our church were gone tomorrow, I believe our kids at Bethsadia Baptist would know enough, love Jesus enough, and have been equipped enough to keep the doors open and the Gospel going.
That’s what discipleship looks like. Today wasn’t just Youth Sunday. Today was a glimpse of the future of our church.
To every parent, teacher, volunteer, pastor, and church member who has invested in these kids—keep pouring into them. It matters.
And to our young people: we are so proud of you. Keep serving Jesus. The church needs you.
Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. 1 Timothy 4:12 KJV
