For the first time that I can remember, our churches are shut down with the greatest week in the world upon us. HOLY WEEK, EASTER. Satan is having his day, the church and her people are praying it will soon be over. But perhaps it is a wake up call, a call to arms, and to prayer. Stand fast and see the hand of GOD at work in our lives.
For three years they walked with Jesus. For three years, think of all that they saw and experienced with HIM. Joy and sorrow, victory and defeat, were a part of their lives. But the end is in sight for HIM. Alone again with HIS Father HE prays: “The time has come, glorify your SON, that your Son may glorify YOU. Father, You gave authority over all people that He might give eternal life to all You have given Him. Now this is eternal life: That they may know YOU the only true God and Jesus Christ whom YOU have sent. Father I have brought You glory on earth by completing the work YOU gave ME to do. Now Father glorify Me in Your presence with the glory I had with You before the world began.” (John 17:1-5)
The God who created the universe in which we live has loved us from the very beginning of time. He knew when He gave us a free choice that we might not always choose the right one. Yet HE loved us. Wrong and sin have been a part of the world since the tree in the garden, since Cain killed his brother Able. God's law said that without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin. The blood represents the LIFE. There is no forgiveness of wrong and sin. Jesus said unless a seed is planted into the ground, it remains alone. If it dies, it will produce more fruit. ( John 15:16) The SEED died! And the SEED has risen from the dead! Today it is still producing fruit for the kingdom. From the one SEED, HE lives on.
The tomb is empty! HE is alive! He has appeared to HIS disciples, ( Luke 24:38-39). Look at MY feet and MY hands. It is I Myself! Touch ME and see. HE is still saying touch Me. He is still calling you and me to come to HIM, touch HIM, and see. Walk with ME, learn of ME. When we come to Jesus HE will forgive and reconcile us with the Father. This life is short and eternity is forever. Joshua said choose you this day who you will serve.
JESUS came to seek and save, and forgive. WHAT WILL YOU DO WITH JESUS? HE IS RISEN! HE IS ALIVE!
Have a blessed week, safe in Jesus keeping.
