The founding membership of Nature’s Trail Church noticed some very important characteristics about a certain demographic of people. Our recognition of these characteristics formed the basis for our ministry. Observation Number 1. Birds of a feather truly do flock together and the herding instinct is alive and well. Every Sunday at church’s across the country we noticed that “people with an outdoor
s passions” always have a way of finding each other both before church services and after to enjoy each others company and to talk about all the things they have been doing in the great outdoors. Observation Number 2. Far too many of today’s children have parents who don’t take their children to church because the family schedule compels them to use Sunday as the day to do “other” things besides go to church. In essence more and more children are missing out on God’s word and His great creation because they have no one to teach them or mentor them. Observation Number 3. We have a church full of truly gifted “Outdoorsmen that has the desire and the means to share a wealth of knowledge with others about God and the great outdoors. WHY NOT MARRY ALL THREE OBSERVATIONS TOGETHER? WE DID! Nature’s Trail Church first and foremost exists because of the Great Commission given to us by Jesus in Matthew 28:19 when Jesus said “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” We are unique as there is no other church of our kind in the world as far as we know. We are serious about the gospel make no bones about that. We are growing rapidly as a church and will never forget our calling to teach the gospel and baptize as God adds to our flock. Most people feel comfortable coming to church in jeans and camouflage. God loves you regardless of what you wear. He just wants you to keep it modest. Recently we purchased property and broke ground to build our new church facility in October 2010. We have a very convenient location atop Priceville, Mountain on Shoals Creek Rd ¼ mile from highway 67 on the right. Our new facility will reflect our love of God as well as our love of the outdoors. The new church facility will be as unique as our ministry. One will not have to wonder what our ministry is when they see the building from the street, nor when they walk into the main entry as we will build with logs, beams, rock and various other rustic construction materials. It will be a truly beautiful facility worthy of God and our ministry. Rest assured that our church building will be just that; a church building. We know our real ministry is outside the walls of the church building; out where the people live. We will have a fishing pond located on our new property where we will stock fish for all to enjoy, but to also use as a training center for those wanting to learn canoing and kayaking. We love to take adults and kids camping, horseback riding and fishing. And we love to go on hunting trips for those who want to learn how to hunt.
