Are doctors starting to prescribe nature therapy?

We’re seeing more practitioner training programs, insurance-backed nature programs, and the forest taking a more formalized role in therapeutic care. It’s validating to watch the wider culture catch up on a lifestyle we’ve been practicing for years.

We’re grateful for the thoughtful guides and small retreat communities, such as Justloveforest who have been carrying this work with care and reverence. Give them a little love when you find them.

What might the next chapter hold? Join us for an evening of film, food, and thoughtful conversation as part of Global Psychedelic Week.

We’ll screen 🎬The Next Chapter, a documentary by Scott Wright following adults over 55 as they explore psychedelic-assisted therapy in relation to depression, anxiety, grief, and unfinished inner work. The film is the subject of our discussion; Entheo Temple is not offering or recommending therapy.

Wednesday, November 4 | 6–9 PM | Atlanta
Arrive for snacks, a beverage, and introductions at 6:00. The film begins at 6:30, followed by a catered meal and group conversation about mid-life, aging, meaning, and purpose. We’ll wind down on the back porch by the fire pit, weather permitting. Address shared with confirmed attendees.

This is a substance-free gathering: no mind-altering substances, and sacrament will not be part of the event. Newcomers are welcome, especially those curious about the questions that can arise in mid-life and beyond. First time joining us? Please call Rev. What might be possible when we slow down, breathe deeply, and spend time in the forest together? 🌿

A recent study followed LGBTQIA+ adults ages 50+ through nine forest bathing sessions. Participants reported improved mental well-being, stronger social support, and a deeper sense of belonging.

We’re grateful for research that recognizes something many of us have felt: healing can be personal, but it doesn’t have to be solitary.

Clinical care offers one important kind of support. A forest gathering offers another: time in nature, gentle movement, shared presence, and the quiet comfort of being welcomed as you are. These forms of care can complement one another, each with its own place.

At Entheo Temple, our forest bathing and hiking gatherings are open to all backgrounds, all ages, and all who feel drawn to connect with the living world and one another. No special experience is needed, just curiosity and comfortable shoes.
