🌿 What Does Humility Mean to You? 🌿

Many people believe humility means degrading yourself, thinking less of yourself, or allowing others to keep you from becoming your best. However, true humility is just the opposite. It is surrendering yourself to God so you can become everything He created you to be. 🙏🏽

“Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time.” — 1 Peter 5:6 KJV

What is hindering you from being your best for God? Is it pride, social status, financial security, fear, the need for approval, or an unwillingness to change your mindset?

We are vessels for Christ. For others to see Him in us, we must lay aside anything that places self above God and humbly submit to His will. When we surrender our pride, plans, and need for control, God can use us for His glory. ✨

Humility does not diminish who you are—it makes room for Christ to shine through you. ❤️

🎉💜 Wishing a Glorious Happy Birthday to a Beautiful Woman of God! 💜🎉

Today, we celebrate one of the most faithful, endearing, genuinely funny, and sincere members you will ever meet—and we absolutely adore her!

For many years, she has faithfully served The Original Mount Patmos Baptist Church, first under the leadership of our late pastor, Reverend Raleigh Rucker, and now under our awesome pastor, Pastor Durwin L. Paul.
Pastor Paul has entrusted her with leading the Music Ministry as The Original Mount Patmos joins in fellowship and ministry with First Comfort Missionary Baptist Church.

Your faithfulness, beautiful spirit, warm heart, and unforgettable sense of humor bring so much joy to our church family. We thank God for your life, your service, and the wonderful blessing you are to everyone who knows and loves you.

May God bless you with a glorious birthday filled with laughter, love, happiness, and all the joy your heart can hold. May He grant you many more blessed years to continue singing, serving, smiling, and making us laugh!

🌿 Today is Thriving Thursday! 🌿

Where do you find your strength? Is it in family, friends, or temporary things that make you feel better—or do you run to The Rock?

“The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust.” — Psalm 18:2 KJV

People may disappoint us, and temporary comforts will fade, but God remains faithful and unchanging. Whatever situation you find yourself facing today, don’t run away—run to your Rock! He is your refuge, your protector, and your strength.

🚩Yesterday is gone, and today is here!🚩

Matthew 6:34 reminds us not to worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will bring its own concerns. Too often, we dwell on things we cannot control, do not understand, and cannot yet see.

Today, place your focus on God. Trust Him and His way—no matter what—because every day, every moment, and every season belongs to Him.

Release the worry. Surrender the uncertainty. Give it all to God, and trust Him with today. ♥️♥️🕊️

🕊️🤍✨ Happy Heavenly Birthday, Reverend Raleigh Rucker! ✨🤍🕊️

Today, we lovingly remember and celebrate our late founder and pastor, Reverend Raleigh Rucker, whose faithful leadership, dedicated service, and love for God’s people blessed Mount Patmos Baptist Church and the surrounding community for more than 40 years.

Reverend Rucker’s life and ministry touched countless hearts. Although he is no longer with us physically, his spirit, teachings, and remarkable legacy continue to live on through the church and community he served so faithfully.

On his heavenly birthday, we honor the man, the pastor, the visionary, and the legacy. We thank God for the many years He allowed Reverend Rucker to shepherd His people and build a foundation of faith that continues to stand.

Happy Heavenly Birthday, Reverend Raleigh Rucker. Your life was a blessing, your memory is a treasure, and your legacy will never be forgotten. ♥️🕊️

🎉 What a wonderful time we had fellowshipping and connecting with our community!

Our Fish Fry was a tremendous success, and the Flea Market was a big hit! It was truly a beautiful day filled with fellowship, fun, and community spirit.

None of this would have been possible without everyone working together as one. Thank you to everyone who collaborated, volunteered, participated, and supported both events. Your contributions helped make the day a great success!

We appreciate each of you and look forward to doing it all again. See you next year! ❤️🙌🏽
