Happy Pastor Appreciation Day! 🙌

As we look forward to welcoming our new Lead Pastor, Darrell Tomasek, next Sunday, we thank the Lord for His guidance throughout this season of transition. We are excited to see what He has in store for First Baptist Decatur in the days ahead!

We’re also incredibly grateful for our pastors and ministry staff who have faithfully cared for our church family, as well as the guest preachers who have shared God’s Word with us during this season. Your dedication and commitment to the Lord and His people have been a tremendous blessing!

Church family, please join us in thanking God for those who faithfully serve and take a moment to encourage them in the comments below!

🎉INTRODUCING OUR SERVE SPOTLIGHT! 🎉

At FBD, we’re blessed with so many people who faithfully serve the Lord and our church family. Through our Serve Spotlight series, we want to celebrate these individuals, share their hearts for serving, and encourage others to get plugged in!

Today, meet Cooper!

Cooper serves on our Production Team and helps lead worship in our Summit Student Ministry as well as on our church’s Worship Team.

When asked why he serves, Cooper shared:

“This church has given me so much. God has given me so much, and I just want to repay it. We’ve been called to serve, not for ourselves, not for other people, but towards God. And I just want to give back to God and my church for that.”

We’re thankful for Cooper and the heart he has for serving the Lord!
