Resonate Atlanta

Resonate Atlanta www.resonateatlanta.org He also said that if we are being that message, then people will know Christians by their love. Love God.

Jesus believes a church will love, serve, and transform a community for the better, and we hope to be a fresh expression of that message. And being more like Jesus from the inside-out starts to get at what it means to follow and be like Jesus. Edit SectionEdit
Our Mission
Resonate Atlanta seeks to love God, love each other, and love our world. Edit SectionEdit
When asked what the greatest commandm

ent, Jesus answer was simple. He then followed with the statement to “love your neighbor as yourself.” (Matthew 22:36-40) We love our neighbors, both those who follow Jesus and those who don’t. There are different expectations in purposes for why we love both groups, but in both cases, we are called to love each other (believers) and love our world (those who don’t follow Jesus). Our Vision
To reconcile Atlanta neighborhoods by making disciples who are growing upward in Christ, building inward in community, and moving outward to serve and reach the world. Edit SectionEdit
The three directions at Resonate, which follow Jesus’ Great Commission for his disciples:

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age. – Matthew 28:19-20

Upwards
Upward involves “teaching them to observe all that I commanded you.” Upward is directly focused on teaching and growing more mature in our relationship and walk with Christ. Inwards
Inward involves “baptizing them…”. Baptism ultimately is for the community, since its a practice that we cannot do in isolation. Inward is all about the community, and growing through connections. Outwards
Outward involves “make disciples.” Jesus statement certainly implies that its about people who aren’t disciples already. Outward is totally focused on sharing the love

Advent reminds us that God was working long before anyone could see it.
You don’t need perfect clarity to rest in the One who holds the world, and your story, together.

Every beautiful thing in the world is just a hint of the wonder God placed in you.
Before anything else was said about you, God declared, “You are made in My image.”
That’s your identity. Your calling. Your vocation.

You might see flaws.
You might see failure.
God sees His own likeness growing in you.
Advent reminds us: He is making all things (including us) new.

What’s holding you back from looking at Jesus… your worthiness, your busyness, or the noise of other voices?
We can’t reflect what we don’t behold.
Let’s slow down and fix our eyes on the One who came near.
Advent is our invitation.

Babel wasn’t built out of arrogance — it was built out of fear.
And we still carry those bricks today:
the pressure to impress, the fear of falling behind, the burden of holding everything together.

But you were never meant to sprint while carrying all that weight.
Jesus invites you to lay it down.
To rest.
To breathe.
To remember that your value isn’t in your performance but in His promise.

The race of faith isn’t won by striving higher — it’s run by trusting deeper.

Each of us has lived this: The plan fell apart. The dream dissolved. The path closed.
We assume we’re being punished. But some of the most confusing seasons of your life may not have been God’s judgment… They may have been God’s rescue.
Sometimes God loves you too much to let your plans work. Sometimes He confuses the path because clarity would’ve fed your pride. Sometimes He interrupts because the “success” you wanted would’ve crushed you.
This is not anger. This is intervention. This is mercy— a Father gently prying something dangerous out of His child’s hand.
And when you’re in the middle of it, it’s okay if you can’t see that yet. From inside the story, it’s hard to tell what’s being taken away… and what’s actually being given.

When the plan falls apart, we almost always assume God is displeased.
But what if the closed door was mercy?
What if the disappointment was protection?
What if the confusion was God gently pulling you away from something that would have broken you?

You don’t have to see it clearly to trust that He is for you.
Even in the confusion.
Even in the silence.
Even in the rubble.

Sometimes rescue just doesn’t look like rescue until later.

The gospel doesn’t say, “Climb higher. Prove yourself. Make your name great.”
It steps into the rubble of all our self-made towers and says: “You don’t need to climb. I will come down.”
Where Babel says, “Let us rise,” Jesus says, “I will descend.” Where Babel says, “Let us make our name great,” Jesus says, “I will give you a name… and I will take the form of a servant.”
You don’t have to build a staircase to heaven. Jesus brings heaven to you.

The flood story isn’t about a God who gives up on the world… it’s about a God who refuses to stop loving it.

The story of Noah doesn’t just point backward—it points forward to Jesus.
When Noah offers what’s most valuable to him in gratitude, God responds in mercy.
Every act of worship—every song sung, every moment of surrender, every gift given—is an echo of that same truth: God is pleased, and He responds.

What if God’s response to a broken world isn’t anger... but tears?
Before judgment, there’s grief. Before wrath, compassion.
That’s the God of Genesis.
