“फरिसीहरूमध्ये निकोदेमस नाउँ भएका एक जना मानिस थिए। तिनी यहूदीहरूका महासभाका एक सदस्य थिए।”
यूहन्ना 3:1 NNRV
Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews.
“यिनी राती येशूकहाँ आए, र उहाँलाई भने, “गुरुज्यू, हामी जान्दछौं तपाईं परमेश्वरबाट आउनुभएको शिक्षक हुनुहुन्छ, किनकि परमेश्वर साथमा हुनुभएन भने तपाईंले गर्नुभएका यी चिन्हहरू कसैले गर्न सक्दैन।””

The same came to him by night, and said to him, "Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God, for no one can do these signs that you do, unless God is with him."
“येशूले तिनलाई जवाफ दिनुभयो, “साँच्चै म तिमीलाई भन्दछु, कोही नयाँ गरी जन्मेन भने उसले परमेश्वरको राज्य देख्न सक्दैन।””

Jesus answered him, "Most assuredly, I tell you, unless one is born anew, he can't see the kingdom of God."
“निकोदेमसले उहाँलाई भने, “मानिस बूढ़ो भएपछि कसरी जन्मन सक्छ र? के त्यो आफ्नी आमाको कोखमा दोस्रो चोटि पसेर जन्मन सक्छ?””

Nicodemus said to him, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb, and be born?"
“येशूले जवाफ दिनुभयो, “साँच्चै म तिमीलाई भन्दछु, कोही पानी र आत्माद्वारा जन्मेन भने परमेश्वरको राज्यमा पस्न सक्दैन।”

Jesus answered, "Most assuredly I tell you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he can't enter into the kingdom of God!
“शरीरबाट जन्मेको शरीर हो, र पवित्र आत्माबाट जन्मेको आत्मा हो।”

That which is born of the flesh is flesh. That which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
“मैले तिमीलाई नयाँ गरी जन्मनुपर्छ भन्दा अचम्म नमान।”

Don't marvel that I said to you, 'You must be born anew.'
“बतास जता चाहन्छ उतै बहन्छ। तिमी बतासको आवाज सुन्छौ, तर त्यो कहाँबाट आउँछ र कता जान्छ, त्यो जान्दैनौ। आत्माबाट जन्मेको हरेक व्यक्ति त्यस्तै हुन्छ।””

The wind blows where it wants to, and you hear its sound, but don't know where it comes from and where it is going. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit."
“निकोदेमसले उहाँलाई सोधे, “यो कसरी हुन सक्दछ?””

Nicodemus answered him, "How can these things be?"
“येशूले तिनलाई जवाफ दिनुभयो, “तिमी इस्राएलका गुरु हौ, र पनि यी कुरा बुझ्दैनौ?”

Jesus answered him, "Are you the teacher of Israel, and don't understand these things?
“साँच्चै, म तिमीलाई भन्दछु, हामी जे जान्दछौं त्यो भन्दछौं, र हामीले जे देखेका छौं त्यसको गवाही दिन्छौं, तर तिमीहरू हाम्रो गवाही स्वीकार गर्दैनौ।”

Most assuredly I tell you, we speak that which we know, and testify of that which we have seen, and you don't receive our witness.
“मैले तिमीहरूलाई पृथ्वीका कुरा भनें, र पनि तिमीहरू विश्वास गर्दैनौ, त तिमीहरूलाई स्वर्गका कुरा बताएँ भने कसरी विश्वास गर्न सक्छौ?”

If I told you earthly things and you don't believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things?
“स्वर्गबाट ओर्लिआउने मानिसको पुत्रबाहेक कोही पनि स्वर्गमा उक्लेको छैन।”

No one has ascended into heaven, but he who descended out of heaven, the Son of Man, who is in heaven.
“जसरी मोशाले उजाड-स्थानमा सर्पलाई उचाले, त्यसरी नै मानिसको पुत्र उचालिनुपर्छ,”

As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up,
“र जस-जसले उहाँमाथि विश्वास गर्छ, त्यसले अनन्त जीवन पाउँछ।”

that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
““किनभने परमेश्वरले संसारलाई यस्तो प्रेम गर्नुभयो, कि उहाँले आफ्ना एकमात्र पुत्र दिनुभयो, ताकि उहाँमाथि विश्वास गर्ने कोही पनि नाश नहोस्, तर त्यसले अनन्त जीवन पाओस्।”

For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
“किनकि परमेश्वरले संसारलाई दोषी ठहराउन भनी पुत्रलाई संसारमा पठाउनुभएन, तर संसार उहाँद्वारा बाँचोस् भनेर पठाउनुभयो।”

For God didn't send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him.
“जसले उहाँमाथि विश्वास गर्छ, त्यो दोषी ठहरिँदैन, तर विश्वास नगर्नेचाहिँ अघि नै दोषी ठहरिएको छ, किनभने उसले परमेश्वरका एकमात्र पुत्रको नाउँमा विश्वास गरेको छैन।”

He who believes in him is not judged. He who doesn't believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only born Son of God.
“फैसलाचाहिँ यही हो: ज्योति संसारमा आएको छ, र मानिसहरूले ज्योतिभन्दा बरु अन्धकारलाई रुचाए, किनकि तिनीहरूका काम दुष्ट थिए।”

This is the judgment, that the light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light; for their works were evil.
“किनभने दुष्ट काम गर्ने हरेकले ज्योतिलाई घृणा गर्छ, र ज्योतिमा आउँदैन, नत्रता त्यसका काम प्रकट हुनेछन्।”

For everyone who does evil hates the light, and doesn't come to the light, for fear that his works would be reproved.
“सत्यद्वारा जिउने मानिस ज्योतिमा आउँछ, र यसरी उसले गरेका कामहरू परमेश्वरमा गरिएका हुन् भन्ने प्रस्टै देखिन्छ।””

But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his works may be revealed, that they have been done with God."
