We are a community of Christ followers who are being transformed by God through the power of the Holy Spirit. We meet in Decatur, GA, but First Baptist folks live and minister all over the Atlanta metro area. We exist:
To know and love God;
To befriend people who feel disconnected from God;
To grow believers into mature Christ-followers;
To serve Decatur and the world in the way of Jesus

Our first Pub Theology gathering will be this Thursday from 6:00–8:00 PM at Wild Heaven Brewery!

Pub Theology is a relaxed opportunity to gather with our pastors and engage in thoughtful conversation about faith, theology, culture, and life. Whether you have questions you've always wanted to ask, enjoy discussing big ideas, or simply want to listen and learn, all are welcome. No preparation is required— just bring your curiosity and an open mind.

Wild Heaven offers a variety of beverages, including non-alcoholic options, so there will be something for everyone. The atmosphere will be casual and conversational, providing a comfortable space to connect, share perspectives, and explore matters of faith together.

Feel free to invite friends, neighbors, or anyone who might enjoy an evening of meaningful discussion. We hope you'll join us!

We will also be offering Ice Creamology for children in grades 3rd–5th at Cremalosa nearby. Ice Creamology is a fun opportunity for kids to enjoy ice cream while asking their own burning questions about faith, life, and God in an age-appropriate setting. Parents are welcome to drop their children off at Ice Creamology and then join us at Pub Theology, making it an evening of thoughtful conversation for all ages.
