October 15th is the feast of St. Teresa of Avila, a Doctor of the Church, mystic, reformer, and renowned author. She is the patron saint of headaches, sickness, Spain, and chess. He relied fully on God for all of his needs, trusting completely in God’s providence. He simplified his life so that he would be free to follow Jesus, and he invites us to do the same!
