✨ A Sacred Pause ✨
D.E., Brandi, and our amazing staff are taking a soul-refreshing break this week. 🌿
Pastor Brandi and I will be taking some much needed time off. Because of this, all midweek gatherings and services are cancelled: Monday & Friday Devotions, Tuesday Connection & Wednesday Gospel of Inclusion.
Sunday, May 31 is a 5th Sunday, so there will be no in-person service. Instead, we’ll come together virtually—a chance to stay connected and share a meaningful moment, wherever you are.

Connection Cancelled Tuesday, May 19 ~ Join us Wednesday night for the Gospel of Inclusion study series!

The Tuesday Connection service is cancelled for tomorrow, May 19, 2026. Pastor LaDonna Paulk Diaz and I are assisting a family member during a time of need.

In Epicureanism (Epicurus 341-270 BCE) "The problem of evil" poses a dilemma: "if God can prevent evil but does not, He is malevolent; if He wills to but cannot, He is weak; if He can and wills both, whence evil?" We will sit with this philosophical, theological and moral dilemma tonight!

Good morning! Welcoem to The Game of Thrones! This Sunday we celebrate Cinco de Mayo, Game of Thrones, and gather for Eucharist! We will continue our Better Bible Reading with a study of 1 Kings and the power plays for the throne:

The throne of Israel trembles—not from foreign armies, but from whispers in the palace halls. An aging king clings to power as rival heirs circle like wolves, each backed by cunning prophets, ambitious mothers, and loyal—or treacherous—generals. Secrets are traded in shadowed chambers, alliances forged over sacrifice and broken just as quickly. One son exalts himself, declaring destiny is his to seize; another waits, hidden yet chosen, as a fierce queen moves pieces behind the curtain with ruthless precision. In this kingdom, crowns are not given—they are taken, anointed in oil and blood alike. And as the prophet’s voice cuts through the chaos, one truth remains: the throne may belong to a king, but the kingdom answers to God alone.

Following the service we will have a Mexican inspired lunch with nachos and mock-arita’s. Plan to stay for lunch & fellowship this Sunday.

Game of Thrones ~ This Sunday, May 3rd, 2026 we will celebrate Cinco de Mayo, Game of Thrones, and gather for Eucharist! We will continue our Better Bible Reading with a study of 1 Kings and the power plays for the throne:
