New Kids Ministry unit starting this week in Children’s Church at 10:30! And we are starting a challenge for the kids to memorize The Lord’s Prayer by the end of September for a prize. Great to work on at home! 🙏🏼❤️ This week we will talk about The Beatitudes in Matthew 5. Another great opportunity to read and discuss as a family! 🥰

Pastor Lee Bateman will be our temporary pastor. Here is a bit about him. Pastor Lee will be here on September 8th and will preach our services beginning September 13.

It is an honor to be able to join in ministry with you.

My wife Lucinda and I have been married for 40 years. We have 4 grown children and 9 grandchildren. Also, we are both retired Army with a total of 43 combined years of service. Lucinda is a retired 7th grade science teacher, and I am a retired civil servant with
the Navy. In 2003 while serving in Bahrain I heard the call to ministry serving as a bi-vocational pastor in the Pensacola area. After 18 years I felt it was time to retire. God said just a minute you have not completed your call. I was called to be a part of the Global Methodist Church as a Senior Elder being ordained in the first Annual Conference of the Alabama Emerald Coast Conference.

I prayed that I didn’t want to be appointed full time as we wanted to travel and see kids and grandkids. God said not to worry I have a job for you. Later that year I was asked to lead some of the churches in the disaffiliation process. When this process was completed I made a commitment that I had an RV and willing to travel. God took that to heart by calling me to serve as pastoral supply from western Alabama, northeast Alabama, to
Bagdad Florida.

It is with a warm heart that I come to serve in ministry during this time of searching.

Hey Parents! 🌟We have an exciting Wednesday night planned for the kids! Since it is my first official night leading, we are going to play some high-energy get-to-know-each-other games, learn how much God cares about us, and build a fun custom name puzzle craft.🎨 Tonight's Theme: "God Knows My Name!"
