The Knights of Columbus Council #3857 completed our fund raising efforts today for The Knights of Columbus RSVP (Refund Support Vocations Program) initiative. All proceeds raised will benefit Zeke Richmond, a local seminarian in our Diocese of Lake Charles.

Congratulations to St. Joseph parishoner Craig Hymel who was the winner of the raffle. Pictured with Craig beside the statue are his his son, Louisiana KofC State Treasurer Charlie Lannen, Council #3867 St. Joseph Grand Knight Shiladitho Deb, and St. Joseph Parish Pastor Father Wayne LeBleu.

Our council would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr. Hymel and everyone who purchased tickets to support our efforts.

Please keep all of our seminarians in prayer, and pray for more vocations to the priesthood, diaconate, and religious life, especially praying that our youth will have the peace and grace to discern God’s calling for their vocational life.

Merry Christmas everyone,
It is the most wonderful time of the year for most, but for some, it is the worst. Some people don't have families to spend time with, don't have the means to celebrate, or both. So this year, I encourage you all to think of these people in this time, maybe invite a friend to your celebrations, participate in Toys for Tots, or one of the many other community organizations in the area to help spread holiday cheer to those who otherwise wouldn't have any. Remember, a little goes a long way, and it is the thought that counts.
