DFA Celebrate Recovery is a Christ Centered recovery group that meets every Friday night to help you to overcome hurts, habits, or hang-ups. CR is a great place to meet others who have struggled with issues and who are overcoming with the help of the one and only Higher Power Jesus Christ. CR is based on the Beatitudes of Christ. CR is a 12 Step group who operates on the 12 steps and their Biblica

l comparison. The purpose of CR is to promote healing in a person's heart with the help of a support system while learning to apply God's word to your life. CR is a large umbrella program so whether you are struggling with addictions to alcohol, drugs, abuse, grief, depression, relationship problems, codependency, sexual addictions, mental health issues, anger, pride, self-will, divorce, or other problems CR is the place for you. What a night at CR looks like. We meet at six and have dinner and fellowship. We then have our program which varies every other week. One week is a lesson; the following week is a testimony that relates to the previous weeks lesson. We then break off into gender specific open share groups. Women go with the women and men go with the women. There we discuss something related to the lesson. We close the night with more fellowship and dessert. CR is a safe place to share your issues. It is a place where it is okay to not be OK. It is a place where anonymity and confidentiality is held to high standards. DFA CR is a program that we believe in. Our vision statement at our church is we want the people nobody wants so they will become the people everybody wants. We are a church that is praying first, aiming high, reaching out in grace and abounding in the power of the Holy Spirit.

Tonight DFA Celebrate Recovery had the honor of hosting the 21st RSAT Graduation from Sevier County Detention Center Programs and Services RSAT. We are super proud of you all for the recovery you have gained over the last 3 months. We are really encouraged at the one year graduates from group #18 and their completion! Thank you to Pastor Tony Stowers from Church of Christ for being our guest speaker tonight! Thank you to my decorating team and my clean up crew and everyone who greeted and made tonight special. Thank you to Salvation Army and Horatio First Assembly for the graduates gift baskets! Tonight the participants left the darkness of their past and came into Gods shining light! We welcome the prodigal sons and daughters home. Also we gave a very special moment of silence for Chico Tom whose life was taken this week. His legacy as one of our RSAT participants lives on in our lives.
