Mark exists to introduce you to Jesus, the God of forgiveness and grace. Although we are God’s special creation, created in His image, we missed the mark. We

often want to play God instead of honor Him. We often want God’s place instead of God’s love. We have all sinned and fallen short of God’s holy standards. Our sin cost God’s Son dearly. His Son, Jesus, came to our world and lived a holy life so He could perfectly satisfy God’s requirements for salvation. He succeeded and was then sacrificed on a cross. It was the only way to remedy the wall between God and us. But Jesus conquered death. Shortly after the cross, He physically rose to life. Meet Diane Tranberg , who faithfully serves as a mentor mom in Women's Ministry! Here's her story:

"I choose to serve in the Mentor Moms ministry because it was the answer to my prayer. I had prayed for God to show me a way that I could serve him at St Mark. The next day, Jenni told me about the new mentor mom program she was beginning. Pray answered, sign me up.

This is my 2nd year as a Mentor Mom. I feel so blessed to have spent time with younger moms and to hear “changing lives” speakers!

The group of moms has so much to offer each other and myself after we listened to the speaker, we break into small groups for discussion. It really helps us put into practice the things that we have learned. The women also pray for each other and rejoice over answered prayers.

I wish more members could have heard Jenni and the outstanding speakers. I understand next year the program will change and be open to all the women in our congregation. That will make an already great program even better.

I feel so blessed to be a part of the Women’s Ministry. Beyond the Mentor Moms there are fun social events and spiritual growth activities the are planned throughout the year!"
