Today we want to take a moment to celebrate and recognize our Kids Ministry Director Katie Kadlec, and the incredible heart, prayer, time, and dedication she pours into the children of Oakbrook Church week after week.
At Oakbrook Church, we don’t view children as interruptions, problems, or simply the “next generation” of the Church. We believe every child is fearfully and wonderfully made by God (Psalm 139:14), created with purpose, value, and God-given gifts that can be used for His Kingdom right now.
While our kids certainly have fun, Kids Ministry is about far more than entertainment or babysitting while parents attend the worship service. Our desire is to help children know Jesus, grow in their faith, discover their gifts, and learn how they can be the hands and feet of Christ today.
We are incredibly grateful for Katie’s leadership and vision, and we are equally thankful for our amazing Kids Ministry volunteers. Whether serving in the Nursery with our youngest children or leading our elementary students through The Gospel Project, these faithful servants are making an eternal impact.
Thank you, Katie, and thank you to every volunteer who invests in the next generation. Your labor is not in vain, and the seeds you are planting today will bear fruit for years to come.
