Hamden lost a pillar of the community Wednesday. Our thoughts and prayers are with Alice Blackman's family. She was a longtime member and the first female to serve as Elder of the Hamden Presbyterian Church. Mark your calendars - the West Delhi United Presbyterian Church's annual Strawberry Ice Cream Social will be from 4 to 7 p.m. July 7 at the National Historic Registry church at 45 Sutherland Road. Serving strawberries, ice cream and whipped topping on homemade buscuits, plus homemade cookies and beverages. Choose between small, medium and large! All are invited!
