Here's a glimpse inside MYM Wednesday nights!
⨠What If These Bible Stories Werenāt Just Stories? āØ
Over the last few weeks in Merge, weāve been doing something a little different⦠Weāve been taking the āfamousā people we grew up hearing aboutāAdam & Eve, Noah, Abraham, and Josephāand looking at them not as flannel-graph characters⦠but as real humans with real struggles and real faith.
And honestly?
Itās changing the way our students read Scripture.
šæ Adam & Eve werenāt just the first people.
They were the first humans to wrestle with temptation, regret, blame, shame⦠and the overwhelming kindness of a God who pursued them anyway.
š§ļø Noah wasnāt just the guy with the big boat.
He was a teenager once. A son. A man trying to follow God when literally everyone around him wasnāt. His story teaches what it looks like to stay faithful when itās lonely.
ā Abraham wasnāt just a āfather of nations.ā
He doubted. He questioned. He messed up. He waited years for promises he barely understood. And stillāGod called him, led him, and used him.
šÆ Joseph wasnāt just the kid with the colorful coat.
He was betrayed, forgotten, misunderstood⦠and yet somehow, every setback became part of Godās setup. Joseph teaches us that the pit isnāt always your prisonāsometimes itās your pathway.
And hereās the coolest part:
Our students arenāt just learning storiesātheyāre recognizing themselves in these people. Theyāre realizing Scripture is full of people who felt what they feelā¦
ā¦struggled how they struggleā¦
ā¦and still found God right in the middle of it.
This series has opened the door for honest conversations, big questions, and moments where faith feels real and personal.
AND THE BEST PART --> We're just getting started!!
If youāve got a student whoās searching, questioning, curious, or just trying to figure out life and faithāthere is room for them here!
And weāre excited for what God is doing in them next!
