What is the true foundation of high-level success in any organization or ministry? It's not just the leader; it’s unity and service!
A powerful lesson from Supt. H. L. Butts's 1983 Leadership Manual:
1. The Leader as a Servant: A true leader is an "overseer" who plans, guides, and directs, but they are fundamentally a dedicated servant of the people, not a dictator. Leadership is a call to service.
2. Success is Mutual: Leaders are ultimately "lifted to success by their followers." High-level success requires a unified effort and cooperation from everyone involved.
For followers, this means honoring the position, offering financial and moral support, and cooperating with requests that align with our core values.
