St. Barbara Philoptochos Lenten Retreat

We give thanks for a spiritually enriching Lenten Retreat led by Father Kwame Joseph Labi, centered on “The Lord’s Cross and Our Worldly Witness.” His message offered deep reflection and inspiration, and we were blessed to continue experiencing his teachings during Sunday’s sermon with our entire parish.

We extend our sincere gratitude to our generous sponsors, Penny and Stavros Cruz, and to our dedicated retreat committee for their time and efforts in making this day possible.

With prayers and gratitude, we thank Father Kwame for joining us and for his ongoing ministry in Accra, Ghana, where he continues the mission of sharing the Orthodox faith. Our community was honored to offer support toward his ministry as he continues this important work.

“But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ.” — Galatians 6:14

Our St. Barbara’s Philoptochos Spring Break Food Drive was a wonderful success! ❤️

Thanks to the generosity of our donors and volunteers, we were able to provide three local schools with food for children to take home during Spring Break.

A heartfelt thank you to our volunteers:
Cindy & George Karamitos, Costa Bourantanis, Allison, Angie, Diana & Evie Varvarikos, Kristen Brooks, Helen Lang, Dean Karris, Stacie Blazic, and Stan Kappiris.

Your time and support truly make a difference for families in our community.

Our next Food Drive will take place the Monday after our Festival in November. Volunteers are always welcome, and financial donations to support this ministry are gratefully accepted throughout the year.

Together we continue to serve our community with love.
