The Meeting Place
There was a time when I thought peace lived somewhere ahead.
Beyond the waiting.
Beyond the uncertainty.
Beyond the unanswered questions.
Beyond the burden I carried today.
And so my thoughts wandered toward tomorrow, searching for solutions, replaying possibilities, trying to find rest in a future that had not yet arrived.
But God, in His gentle mercy, has a way of teaching deeper lessons.
For I have discovered that peace is not found when every question is answered.
It is found when I become present enough to notice where He is.
The challenge becomes a meeting place.
The waiting becomes a meeting place.
The closed door becomes a meeting place.
The unfamiliar road becomes a meeting place.
Even uncertainty, which once felt like an enemy, can become a holy invitation.
For there is something greater than knowing what comes next.
There is the gift of His presence.
Here ~
In this breath.
In this sunrise.
In this conversation.
In this small step forward.
The future may still be unfolding, but God is already here.
And often, the strength we seek for tomorrow is given when we walk with Him today.
So when worry calls me away into imagined futures,
I return gently to the ground beneath my feet ~
I return to what is real.
I return to what is present.
I return to the quiet place where God has been waiting all along.
And there I remember:
I do not need to carry tomorrow today.
I do not need to solve every mystery before I rest.
I do not need to see the entire path before taking the next step.
This moment is enough.
This step is enough.
His grace is enough ~
For perhaps every season, whether joyful or difficult, is not merely something to endure,
but a meeting place.
A place where God draws near ~
A place where faith takes root.
A place where trust continues to learn to walk.
And a place where the One who holds tomorrow reminds us that we are never alone today.
