What if you genuinely are God's favorite?

What if God loves your flaws? What if when God looks at you, all that is seen is a beautiful, complicated, perfect person, who is trying so hard. A person whose difficulties and pains and heartaches not only have been cradled by God in their dark nights of the soul, but are things not to be ignored. Maybe it's time to stop hiding. You are not broken when you sit in the dark. As your eyes adjust, the stars gleam brilliantly, a wonder the eyes can't see in the daylight. What if God is listening, and really has not forgotten you?

Being God's favorite doesn't mean others are any less precious! Just as each cell in this beautiful living, breathing Body of Christ is a tiny yet essential part, each of us have a very special part to play.

What a beautiful thought.

We invite you all to consider the 2 great commandments, under which hang all the laws and the prophets:

36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?

37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

38 This is the first and great commandment.

39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

To love God, to love others, and to love ourselves. God never gives a commandment that is not reciprocated! God loves YOU.

COMMENT! What's one word you would use to describe the Savior?

How do you find comfort when you are afraid?

When we rely on Jesus Christ, we know we need not fear. In the Bible, we learn that through faith in Him, we can do all things. If we have enough faith, we can even walk on water.

Sometimes, we fear because of the crazy things in the world. Even when we start to sink, Christ is always there to lift us up, just like He did Peter. We just have to ask.

30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.

31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?

Have you ever wondered what the big white buildings called temples are?

Temples are holy places of worship, where we get to make covenants - or promises - with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. God has commanded His children to build temples throughout history, and the same is true today. It is the place where God can dwell on this Earth. It is a sacred place that is kept pure and clean always. When we go to the temple, we receive great blessings from God.

We are also able to help our ancestors who have passed away make covenants when we go to the temple!

Sister Preece, a missionary serving here in Orlando, loves the temple because of the Spirit that is there and that is how she know that it is the house of the Lord.

If you want to learn more about the house of the Lord and how you can be prepared to go inside someday, comment below to talk with missionaries!

How do you worship?

We learn from living prophets and apostles today that worshipping our God is different than simply attending church. When we worship Christ in His restored church and are intentional in our praise, we are promised joy, peace, reverence, and strength.

How can we be made whole?

Jesus Christ performed many miracles in His lifetime. He healed, He blessed, He preached, He changed hearts, He walked on water. He showed His love for His children over and over, and He still does.

The woman with the issue of blood knew what Christ had done for others and had such great faith that she only had to touch the hem of his clothes to be healed. It is the same for us today! We read in the holy scriptures of the miracles Jesus Christ performed through the power of God. If we have faith that those same miracles can happen today, they will!

"For do we not read that God is the same yesterday, today, and forever, and in him there is no variableness neither shadow of changing?" (Mormon 9:9)

If you want to grow your faith and call upon these miracles in your life, comment below and get in contact with missionaries!

Who is Russell M. Nelson?

The president and prophet of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is a truly fascinating person; having lived 100 years of life, this prophet truly is wise and literally has a century 's worth of experiences. Through listening to the words of prophets, we are able to know what God wishes we all knew right now at this time. In the church, we believe that the prophet is the mouthpiece that leads and guides Christ's restored church on the earth, and we can listen to prophets and apostles speak live every 6 months through General Conference, a conference broadcasted worldwide to anyone who tunes in! All past talks are also available to re-watch or read whenever you want.

If you're interested in learning what the prophet has to say, comment!

How can you put God first in your life today?

Sometimes, life gets so crazy that it seems like nothing can go right. There are so many things to worry about and do, but Jesus Christ is aware of us. He gave His disciples this insight that applies to us today.
"Seek ye first the kingdom of God"!
When we put Him first in our lives, everything else will work out. He puts everything where it needs to be and provides us with everything we need.

Let us know in the comments how Christ has helped you in your life!

Have you ever felt unworthy to receive God's blessings?

[Luke 17:11-19] ALL ten lepers were cleansed. Even the ungrateful, perhaps "unworthy" ones. We do learn something very important from this story: Jesus doesn't just bless the worthy; not only the grateful are healed. We see this time and time again, even in today's world. Why do some who don't value their own surplus blessed with more, leaving the humble even humbler? Why do we still receive blessings even when we aren't doing everything right?

The answer is that GOD LOVES US! The returning samaritan didn't get more blessings, but he received a gift that the other lepers ran from: wholeness. We learn, then, that cleansing, or receiving blessings, and wholeness must be different. Wholeness is brought upon by our intentional returning to God. It's up to us. We learn that when we truly take a look around us and notice the beauty and bounty of God's love in our lives, we will not be able to help but run back to God with gratitude bursting at the seams.
And so it's true: good things happen to bad people, and bad things happen to good ones.
But wholeness happens through relationship with God; through gratitude, mindfulness, and action. We invite you today to take some time to return to God, because gratitude is the most expensive thing we control.

What do you take for granted? How can you return to Jesus? Comment your thoughts!!

"A man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief." (Isaiah 53:3)

If you feel completely alone, so did He.

If you feel unwanted, so did He.

If you feel like God has left you to die, so did He.

If you need someone, anyone, just to understand, there truly is someone who never has left you alone. Depression and any other pain and sorrows are not the absence of God; rather, people who experience such know the heart of God better than many. Sometimes, all you can do is "not very much," but God knows how much that is. Your acquaintance with grief is not forgotten, it is not wasted.

If you resonate with Heather, please comment. We love to hear your stories.

If you are looking for somewhere to go and need God to heal you in your life right now, everyone is welcome at church! If you are interested in coming, comment, and we will be in contact with you.

May peace be with you all πŸ™

Does it ever feel like you are alone? Do you ever feel like nothing is going right?

Sometimes it can feel like God has forgotten about us, but He is always mindful. He is inviting us to return to Him always, and will never turn us away. All we have to do is repent and accept His help, and we will be able to see the open doors ahead of us!

Does juggling the trials of life sometimes feel impossible? πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«

We learn from the Bible, in Philippians 4:13, that "[we] can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth [us]."
When we believe and exercise faith, Christ takes us farther than we ever could have alone. πŸ™ He lifts our burdens and makes us strong! πŸ’ͺ

✨️Thank goodness we have a living prophet to remind us of this truth along with the scriptures!! πŸ™Œ
