Central Baptist Church

Central Baptist Church Visit us @...http://centralbc.org/ We believe that God’s love is extended and available to every person, and to all of God’s creation.

At Central, there are several statements about faith that generally describe what we hold in common:
We believe
About God:
We believe that the nature of God is love. We believe that God wants us to love one another by our actions and when necessary, by our words. We believe that God wants us to love God. About Jesus:
We believe that Jesus is the Son of God. We believe that Jesus is the very expres

sion of God in the world. If you want to know God, or know about God, look to the life, words and ministry of Jesus. We believe that Jesus is the best example of how we are to love God and love each other. We believe that Jesus’ death on the cross is the key to our salvation. We believe that Jesus rose from the dead, and that his resurrection is the assurance that God is and will be victorious over evil. We believe that Jesus will some day return, so that humankind and creation can return to right relationship with God the Creator. About the Holy Spirit:
We believe that the Holy Spirit is God’s gift to the church. We believe that the Holy Spirit leads and guides the church and God’s people to do the things God wants us to do. We believe that the Holy Spirit gives us the ability to do what God asks us to do. We believe that the Holy Spirit assures us that God walks with us in all of our life. About the Bible:
We believe that the Bible is inspired and useful for giving us guidance in how to live our lives. We believe that the Bible tells the story of how God has related with humankind and creation in history. We believe that the Bible tells the story of how humankind has responded, and can respond, to God’s leadership. We believe that the Bible gives us a model for how we can participate in the things of God. About our Life Together:
We believe that all of us, whether we participate in church or not, are on a journey of faith toward a deep, significant understanding of God. We believe that church should be a safe place to hear the challenging, but good news of Jesus Christ and His call to be His followers. We believe that the church, while flawed, is the instrument that God uses to do the work of the Kingdom.

It's easier for churches to stick to traditional Wednesday night programs, but many end up closing because people aren't looking for what they've always offered. Trying new things is harder and riskier, but potentially much more rewarding and connecting.

Discover a church that embodies God's love in unconventional ways, going slower, deeper, and offering more transformation than typical online spirituality. It's about authentic connection.

It's so much easier to judge and walk away than to truly listen and love someone different. But modeling Christ's openness requires the harder, more rewarding work.

Giving up on prayer means missing a key element that fueled the early church's incredible vitality and impact. While we love the highlights of Acts, remember that true growth requires every part, like learning to drive.

God's people in Acts didn't dwell on the past. They moved forward, united by Christ, empowered by the Spirit, and filled with love for the world. They welcomed the good news and embraced what lay ahead.

It's not our effort, but the Spirit of God working within us that truly transforms. Does God have full access to your body, your life, your heart, your mind, your understanding, your will, and your willingness to change?
