A few months ago, I had the honor of attending the ribbon-cutting for the new free health clinic at the Islamic Center. This project was made possible through a partnership that included support from the City, and we’re excited to see it serving residents today. Future plans also include the addition of a dental clinic, further expanding access to care in our community.
Since that event, one of the questions I’ve seen raised most often is:
“Can Christians and Jews get free assistance there?”
The answer is yes. The clinic is intended to serve the entire community, regardless of faith, background, or affiliation. Access to healthcare and essential services should be available to those who need them, and this clinic was established with that mission in mind.
I’m also excited to begin using a new community engagement platform that helps identify the questions and topics residents are discussing most frequently. Not every update I share will be a direct response to a specific post or comment. Instead, this tool will help me better understand what questions are being asked most often so I can provide timely information, clear answers, and updates on issues that matter to our residents.
I encourage everyone to continue asking questions, sharing concerns, and participating in the conversation. By listening to one another and working together, we can continue building a stronger, healthier, and more informed community.
