Ministry Spotlight

When Daytona Beach Drive-In Christian Church chose not to hold Vacation Bible School this year, they asked: What could faithful imagination look like instead?

That question led to a Back-to-School celebration for children and families living in a local domestic violence shelter. Through community partnerships, trauma-informed care, and a whole lot of joy, the congregation created a space of safety, dignity, and connection.

For the pastor, the event also honored the memory of her friend Brittany Steier, whose life was lost to domestic violence in 2020.

This is ministry in action: showing up, building partnerships, and embodying the Gospel in unexpected places.

We’ve got 11 days left in our August people and pet food drive! Yesterday your pastors dropped off a carload of pet food and supplies to the Southeast Volusia Humane Society! And every Monday this month a carload of food has been delivered to the Port Orange Food pantry at Grace Episcopal Church! Thank you, Church. Let’s make these last 11 days super generous!
